Delete your MeFlow account
You can request deletion of your MeFlow account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to do it and exactly what is removed.
Option 1 — Delete from within the app
- Open the MeFlow app on your device.
- Go to Settings from the main menu.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm by entering your password (if you signed up with email) and typing
DELETE.
Your account and data are deleted immediately. You will be signed out.
Option 2 — Email request
If you can no longer access the app, email us from the address linked to your account with the subject line "Delete my MeFlow account":
We will verify ownership and process the deletion within 7 business days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Your account profile (name, email, avatar, preferences)
- Expenses, income records, accounts, categories, and budgets
- Tasks, goals, routines, and routine completion history
- Notes, sticky notes, folders, and tags
- Journal entries and mood logs
- Reminders, side quests, achievements, and wishlist items
- All related metadata and sync state
What is kept, and for how long
- Authentication records held by Google Firebase Authentication may retain hashed identifiers for up to 30 days to prevent abuse and satisfy security audits, after which they are purged.
- Anonymous, aggregated analytics (usage counts with no personal identifiers) may be retained indefinitely. These cannot be used to identify you.
- Backups are rotated on a 30-day cycle; deleted data will be fully removed from backups within that window.
- Records we are legally required to retain (e.g., fraud investigation, tax) are kept only for the legally mandated period.
This cannot be undone
Account deletion is permanent. We cannot restore data after your account has been deleted, even if you create a new account with the same email address later. If you'd like a copy of your data, export it from the app before deleting your account.
